The foxglove that adorns the front of this eco-friendly greeting card was encountered on a warm summer’s day in Dovedale valley in the Lake District National Park. This national park is England’s largest and is said by many to be the most beautiful of them all.
The foxglove, its flowers shaped like trumpets, coloured like candy and arranged in columns on a tall thin spike, is like nothing else in the Lake District. This uniqueness draws the eye of many a hiker and woodland wanderer.
In order to minimise harm to the planet and all forms of life that inhabit it, we do our best to make our greeting cards as eco-friendly as possible.
As with all of our greeting cards, this foxglove greeting card is made with FSC certified paper. The inks are vegetable-based and biodegradable. The card comes with an envelope made from recycled, unbleached paper and is packed inside a transparent wrapper that is 100% biodegradable and compostable. The product is plastic-free.
Furthermore, 10% of the sale price of this greeting card will be donated to Friends of the Lake District, an independent charity that is dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the landscapes in Cumbria and the Lake District.
